The Red Virginia doesn't come through as strong as I would prefer. The Orientals don't add much for me, either. Interesting to try, but I doubt I'll revisit this blend after the tin is gone.

t think of this as a straight VA, it's not. That said, it smokes well, best sipped like most VA blends, but it's rewarding. It doesn't need to be rubbed ou as someone suggested and in fact burns better if left as it comes from the tin--just stuff it in and make sure it's not to tight, not too loose, AS ALWAYS, eh? f you're on an empty stomach, but it won't leave you feeling ill. The Virginias are sweet but earthy, and the Izmir brings a touch of tanginess and plenty of herb & spice flavors. If you love Orientals or just want to make yourself more acquainted with them, this blend is a great choice. Read Less

A very Izmir foreward blend that shines without the need of Latakia - though I sometime wonder how it would smoke with such an addition. But for now, I'll enjoy it as it is; pure earthiness with moments of spice and brightness.

fist bowl of Embarcadero left me in the middle of something but i did not loved it. Then, i´ve been giving new chances to this blend and i can say now that i really like it very much!!. It is not easy to engage with virginias for me, but thanks to this wonderful blend i will try some other virginias from now on. Very recommended!! Read Less

tobacco, and "where has this been all my life". I havent explored its depths fully, but I have tin and it is reserved , as a "special" smoke. Its for those times when I can be left alone, just me and my pipe, where I can "sip" the smoke, and taste the difefrent tones as they Emerge.
I guess this would be the first tobacco I have tried, where a bell went off in my head, and I thought, " Thats It!" "This is what they mean by complex" An Amazing Tobacco. Definitely, in a league of its own. Read Less
