About This Pipe Tobacco

Manufactured in a century-old brick building in picturesque Lauenburg, Germany, Dan pipe tobacco has gained quite a worldwide reputation among smokers, with a wide variety of blends and cuts on offer. Andreas Mund became the successor in charge of production when master blender Jürgen Westphal retired, and is assisted by Heiko Behrens as well as Michael Apitz of Dan Pipe.

Named for a traditional genre of music popular in Argentina and other South American countries, Milonga is an Aromatic blend of Virginias — some fittingly from Argentina — and extra-smooth Black Cavendish flavored with caramel and vanilla for an inviting room note.

This is quality tobacco, it has a unique creaminess that is quite scrumptious. It could be one of my desert island tobaccos, it has great flavor. The only downside is that it can bite if you freight train it, which is easy to do with the yummy caramel coconut-esque taste. I hope SP sells the 250g bag of this someday, I would definitely buy it! The mysore really shines through and makes this blend excellent, just be careful not to get overzealous puffing away. Even for an aromatic, this one burns Hot even when sipped. Very caramel tin note. Just too hot to the mouth, even enjoyed slowly. Heat overwhelms the taste. Pass

The Greatest Tobacco you Shouldn't Buy

The Virginia leaves in this tin are perfectly highlighted rather than overruled by the flavor profiles involved. It's a splendid smoke, both for the smoker and those around when it's lit up. All that said, don't buy it. Because if you buy it, I can't.

Wonderful vanilla flavor from start to finish and the jar is fragrant. Tobacco quality is very good, should have used two different Virginia tobaccos with ribbon and chopped composition.

I read review after review looking for a new blend to try and decided I would try a few of Dan Tobacco products. Milonga was so good right out of the tin I packed and burned another! A great quality tobacco I am now best buddies with. Slid that sucker directly into my rotation! Give her a try and please don’t stop blending this beautiful tobacco.
