husband, who smokes cigars, actually asked me to put it out.
It tasted awful, it smelled awful, and it lingered something truly awful.
I'm going to cellar it and see if it improves. My hopes are low.
Start with 1 oz.

Black Cherry

oily to the eye and fingers blend is actually very pretty. The bag notes are plastic, cherry Gojo, wet cardboard and something that’s not vanilla but I can’t determine what it is. Maybe it’s disappointment.
Smoked in a MM Huck Finn because I didn’t want to risk this ghosting a pipe I’d ever keep.
Ok. I’m being an ass , maybe. But man this is horrid. Like on a scale of “why do I keep doing this to myself” to “why is it impossible to make a cherry blend that’s not an oily gloopy urinal cake scented bag of sadness” , I’d say this is on the later end of the scale.
It blows my mind how much I don’t like this - because , friends and neighbors, I’m trying. I gave this blend 2 bowls to change my mind, and that’s one more than I ever gave BRM, or Cherry Cobbler. But I owe it to you, and honestly to C&D, to give every blend a fair shake if I’m going to do this, even if it’s at my own expense and experience.
I just can’t. It’s so bad.
That’s not fair. Let’s break it down:
The good : appearance; room note
The bad: the taste
The ugly : bag smell
Look - if you like this stuff - my hats off to ya. You’re better than me - obviously you have a more refined (or more likely dead) sense of taste.
I mentioned the room note - It does smell nice - from several feet away.
But the blend , man - so oily it looks like a fresh bag of Levi Garret chewing tobacco, and I smelled the bag at waist level when I opened it. (See the picture - no lies detected )
This will get a 1, because I didn’t state my scale had a 0.
My (charitable) Rating : 1 - I never want to have this blend again.
This is the 22nd blend of 101 that I am reviewing for this project.

BRM Contender!

I’m partial black Cavendish and sweet smells. This checks both boxes. Smooth, black Cavendish, great hints of cherry, but deeper and richer than BRM. There is a slight cocoa kind of back on the end of this, but the cherry is the real star. If you like BRM give this a try.
