Larry Roush is my favorite pipe maker. His pipes smoke cool, ultra-dry and are amazing in the hand! His rustications are epic, sand blasting is flawless and his smooth straight -grains are to die for! I own 11 Roush pipes and would never part with them. His style is recognizable from across the room! GREAT VIDEO GUYS!

Back in the early nineties when I was amassing my pipe collection me and a friend used to drive down from Austin to SanAntonio to a place called “The Humidor” owned by a retired Air Force Colonel. Those were the days. He used to have smoking contests and special events which I have won Savenelli Autograph and Dunhill pipes as door prizes. I was introduced to an upcoming pipemaker named Larry Roush. He had just won a trophy as “American Pipe maker of the year” They had his silver trophy on display ay The Humidor. I believe the colonel had an exclusive on his pipes ay the time. I was supposed to take him fishing on the Texas coast but that never materialized. I recognized a great pipe when I saw one and I bought 4 of them that year. I recieved a letter of appreciation from Larry. At the time I believe I owned more of his pipes than anybody else in the country. All of his pipes that I own are from 1990 with numbers ranging from the sixties to pipe number #102. Considering the prices I see his pipes bringing today I believe I may not be able to afford owing them anymore. Especially since I have had to cut way back on my pipe smoking these days. Have really enjoyed smoking them all these years. Have taken excellent care of them. Have so many pipes that no one pipe has been smoked smoked excessively.
