About This Pipe
Castello is a bit sneaky sometimes. This looks, at first glance, like a perfectly classic English style billiard. It's not. It bears all the hallmarks of the Castello aesthetic that has so revolutionized pipe design in the past sixty-odd years. The bottom of the shank is flat, extending perpendicular to the line of the bowl from the end of the button to the base of the pipe. The top of the shank and stem, as is so common on Castello shapes, rises, starting at the button and reaching its apex as it meets the bowl. The smooth rim, sporting amazing birdseye, and the smooth ring at the end of the shank encapsulate the beautifully sandblasted grain on the bowl. A classic? Yes, most certainly. But this is classic Castello.
