About This Pipe
Pablo Picasso's abstracted style of painting leaves a lot of leeway for a man designing real pipes based off of those seen in his works, something Giancarlo seems to have had considerable fun with. This unique and novel take on the Hawkbill makes that clear enough, featuring wildly tweaked proportions, yet maintaining a fine balance of form at the same time. The deft aesthetic composition is matched by its feel in hand, with the bowl pleasantly full and the extra-thick, drooping shank positioned just right to stay out of the way.
