About This Pipe
For a few, rash seconds, I started to say that this Crown bent egg reminded me of another carver's take on the shape.and then pulled up short. Given that Poul Winslow started carving in the mid to late sixties and that the man that I was about to compare him to has less than a decade on the job, it would be kind of like implying that the pyramids of Egypt were inspired by I.M. Pei. While the grain of this 200 Grade is rock solid, I find it hard to take my eye off the deftly carved ridge on the fore of the bowl.
