In 2003, Pete Johnson founded Tatuaje with the goal of bringing back the old-school flavors and feel of classic Cuban cigars. These days, Tatuaje is one of the most venerated names in the cigar industry and has remained true to their founding goal.

Tatuaje celebrates the 19th anniversary of their Black Label line this year, and to commemorate the occasion, they have released two new box-pressed vitolas, with the Private Reserve Robusto offered here. Though the line has been offered in dozens of different vitolas at this point, box-pressed offerings are a rarity, and thus a fitting way to commemorate such a significant milestone. As for the blend itself, it features a Nicaraguan sungrown Criollo wrapper over Nicaraguan double binder and filler.
