About This Pipe Tobacco

Daughters & Ryan - Raccoon's Friend: Dark air-cured and mahogany Burleys combine with a touch of Latakia for complexity, along with red Virginias, and Acadian bright Virginia, developed by Mark Ryan as a result of aging bright leaf in Perique barrels, which impart a subtle, spicy nuance to the blend.

This was really quite good. Not something I always want and not nearly enough Latakia to satisfy the craving, but a really great blend nonetheless.

I got this and Raccoon's Delight, of the two, Friend is the better one. Good stuff! Sort of like Dunhill's Standard Mixture, if not better. You have to smoke it down a little for the quality to make itself known, so don't be disappointed just upon lighting. I love this blend! The Acadian Virginia is mind blowing. I have had the opportunity to smoke this varietal straight, and I tell you it doesn't even need to be blended! Mark's idea of aging bright Virginia leaf via the Perique process was a God send.
