About This Pipe Tobacco

Give Me Liberty is the second release in Seattle Pipe Club's Signature Series of pipe tobacco blends. Taking its name from the famous Patrick Henry quote, "Give me liberty or give me death," which helped ignite the war for American independence, this straight Virginia mixture combines Old Belt Red Virginias from North Carolina with lightly stoved flue-cured tobacco from Brazil. Aged and pressed into an easy-to-prepare plug, Give Me Liberty is an enjoyable all-day Virginia blend with zesty notes of citrus.

This is a very bright Virginia with a lot of flavor. It will bite and even a slow cadence will leave a bit of cayenne on the lips and tongue. That said, it is still an excellent tobacco and well worth the effort to enjoy. Tin note of pungent fermented sweet vegetation. Tobacco is mahogany colored plug, more like a crumble cake, as no tool are needed to prepare, easily breaks off and rubs out. Moisture is on the high side and drying may be preferred. Burns slow with many relights to get it going and maintaining. The strength is medium and nic is mild to medium. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium to full and consistent, with notes of spice, sugar sweet, tangy citrus, wood, lemon grass, bread, earth, zesty, vinegary fermented, mildly spicy, a sour stewed fruit background note, and a mildly peppery retro.
