About This Pipe Tobacco
Reportedly inspired by a dream, Seattle Pipe Club's Mississippi River is the first of Joe Lankford's great blends — a complex mixture of rich red Virginias, spiced with Orientals, Latakia, and Perique.

This is one of my top three. I really enjoy this after a good cup of coffee, or sitting around a fire at the end of the day. This is one of the best from Seattle Pipe Club. I cant wait to crack open a rum aged one when I finish this one! Hard to beat!

I can't say I'd rank this under repurchasing, but it's worth trying at least once to try out a classic Lankford. However, Plum pudding slaughters this blend.

Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of mild smoky, sweet dark fruit, woody, spices, floral, sugar, savory, musty herbal hay, salty toasted bread, orange peel/zest, very earthy, sweet grass, dark cocoa, a mild tart citrus and mildly spicy background note, and a peppery retro. Virginia is leading with Latakia, Oriental/Turkish and Perique supporting. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is great....Read More
