If I could only smoke one blend forever, it would be this. The vinegar tartness never gets old. My only regret is that it is too expensive to daily. $50 for 8 oz is better than the 2 oz price, but still steep compared to Sutliff. They say you get what you pay for, and I agree, but I want to retire....Read More

Sweet, smoky, spicy

SPC blends all seem to have a reputation of excellency, especially Mississippi River, and it certainly lives up to it. The sweet Virginas stay in the forefront with a sweetness throughout the blend, with the assistance of the raisin-like sweetness from the perique. The orientals deliver a wonderful spiciness that doesnt fade while the latakia stays in the background but gives a steady smoky taste. For a Balkan/English blend, this blend actually delivers a pleasant room note, which even the wife noticed. It has earned its place in my rotation. Any aficionado of English or Va/Per blends needs to at least give this blend a try. Highly recommended....Read More
