Ghosted My Pipe

This blend is great if you love menthol anything. I'm not big on menthol flavored anything, so it wasnt for me. However, the thing that I hated most was that it ghosted my pipe for a few smokes.

Ordered all I could get my hands on. Love it. Smoked 2 pk kools for 30 yrs and standby if not ready.....it's for sure Minty. I can only hope it's available again very soon

Like sucking on a Vicks Inhaler

I’ve never written a tobacco review until now. I felt compelled to issue a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to warn serious pipe smokers that you will never taste anything close to pipe tobacco in this blend. The smell and taste of “peppermint” is so overdone, overwhelming and overpowering, it feels like you are sucking on a Vicks Nasal Inhaler! In fact, there’s no sense of peppermint flavoring in this blend it’s more like eucalyptus, or Kool menthol cigarettes - very chemical. The flavor description states: “…blended with chocolatey cocoa, sweet vanilla, and just a hint of refreshing mint…”; there is ZERO taste of chocolatey cocoa or sweet vanilla and the “hint” of refreshing mint” is more like a punch in the mouth. I’ve had a few duds but when I saw this I had to try it. It was awesome! From the first draw you’ll get that peppermint. Potent but not too strong. Room note is perfect for the holidays. Pair with your favorite peppermint coffee or tea and you’re really in for a treat. My only complaint is that I didn’t order more. Hope it is available again soon!...Read More

I was looking for something with a great room not and this works, however this taste of spearmint not peppermint and lots of it. The cocoa is hard to find. But the wife likes it’s room note.

Overwhelming peppermint

The quality of tobaccos used in this blend are very good for a standard Sutliff aromatic. However, I would like it much better if it made use of more mocha flavoring and used the peppermint topping as more of a compliment to the cocoa flavors as SmokingPipes' own above description suggests. It's very moist, as shouldn't be a surprise with an aromatic like this one, so ample drying time is needed, but it doesn't require that many relights once dried properly. Overall, it's an okay aromatic blend and I can see some folks finding it enjoyable. It's just not quite what I was looking for and, personally, I would suggest trying Russ Oulette's Candy Cane Cocoa, if you're looking for a similar blend that's much more balanced in flavor....Read More

This is my first review of a tobacco. I somewhat enjoyed it but was not expecting the minty flavor to be so overwhelming, I barely could taste the mocha. I will keep it for an occasional smoke but next time I will fill my bowl halfway in lieu of full.

As others noted it is very "minty," fantastic pouch note and smokes ok when sipped. Again, love it in small amounts, would not be my everyday smoke, but going to stock some away for trying out next year.
