Best Burn I've Found

October 04, 2026

Product: Sutliff Rum & Maple Bulk

The smell when you open it is strong and very much rum and maple. Exceptionally pleasant and sweet smell. The flavor smoking is ... shockingly similar. It's certainly a very flavor-forward experience. Most wonderfully, it lit and smoked very nicely without any additional drying. I hope every order burns that well - truly the easiest burning tobacco I've found....Read More

New STG Sutliff bulk

Product: Sutliff Rum & Maple Bulk

I recently acquired an older USA-produced lb and a new STG lb. The new lb is slightly darker but has similar rum/maple topping. Can definitely tell that this is fresher tobacco. I left it out to dry, a bit damp out of the bag. It still seems to have the same components, but the previous production had a more sweet flavor(not by much but it’s noticeable). Current production is smooth, has a nice flavor and doesn’t bite if you sip it slowly. I could see this as an all day smoke. Sad all the other blends went away but glad this one is still available! Cheers and happy piping 💨...Read More

Product: Sutliff Rum & Maple Bulk

First, yes, it is an aromatic. Take that for what it's worth. However, it is really pretty good. It has both strength and flavor, which is very unusual for aromatics. Usually you get all aroma, no flavor, no strength. This has all three. The aroma is very strong maple, not much rum. The flavor is mostly tobacco, which is perfect. You get to have a very nice room note while enjoying some great nutty burley flavor. It's sad that Sutliff is gone. I have a small jar with about four ounces left. Once it's gone, it's gone forever. Edit: Apparently this blend is sticking around, being managed by STG along with two or three of Sutliff's other aromatics. Good news....Read More

A smooth and sweet smoke

Product: Sutliff Rum & Maple Bulk

It has a sweet, pleasant aroma and is a bit difficult to keep lit at the beginning, but once the cake is formed, it burns smoothly. It’s delightful to smoke. I couldn’t distinguish a rum flavour, and the sweet taste is more pronounced toward the end of the smoke.
