I got this during a sale and wasn't expecting much to be honest. If you like burley blends, this is certainly worth trying. Very good, and not overly complex, excellent in the morning with a couple cups of good strong coffee.

Great, until Last Pouch

I have ordered this several times and found it to be consistently good with a pure tobacco taste, thick white smoke, no bite and reasonable nic-hit. Always good right out of the pouch . . .
But last batch I ordered was off somehow, very slight mold/fermentation was visible when I unsealed the pouch. It smoked OK but not as smooth as the previous 4-5 pouches. I will try again because until this recent order Amphora Burley was consistently satisfying....Read More

Opening the pouch greets you with a lovely, nutty, burley aroma that's not overpowering, and reaching in, the mix of ribbon and broken flake of dark brown tobacco is a bit on the moist side but absolutely smokeable. It takes a couple of passes to light but once you do, it stays lit and burns evenly till the end. I noticed it leaves dottle at the end but can be easily cleaned.
