A lovely room note

Every time I light up Captain Black CHERRY in public, I always get many compliments. Clearly the room note is a crowd pleaser. The flavor is alright, yet mild and not overpowering. It's a good tobacco for the price.

ome Quiet Nights, Nightcap and Lane 1-Q. Had it been just for this alone I would have walked away for good. It is the fakest most artificial cherry flavor I've ever tasted. It's like gargling with Robitussin, as it leaves that saccharine/aspartamey taste in your throat long after you've finished your pipe. My desire to take up this new endeavor was so great it enabled me to tolerate smoking through half the bag until my order arrived with nothing but hope driving me forward. I was so relieved to find that it got better. So much better; and the rest of the bag went in the trash. It did give me PTSD though and it scared me away from aromatics for over a year and a half. I will never ever try a cherry-flavored tobacco again thanks to this. The flashbacks would be too terrifying....Read More

Right on the border of being too medicinal/artificial tasting. Old-timey candy cherry notes and nothing else. Will bite if pushed. The cherry smell will permeate from the bag so be careful storing.
