My personal view of this tobacco is that it's a little lacking in aromatic taste and roomnote, however it is completely bite free, smooth smoke with flavor building up as you puff. For me this is the ideal aromatic. It’s tobacco forward and the aromatic additions are not at all overpowering. The fruit and vanilla are not so strong that you can’t get tobacco in every puff but they are just delightfully added and the room note is fantastic. The good news is not strong aromatization

I have not returned to this tobacco mixture in more than 15 years. And why, when there is a huge amount of better quality tobacco blends for pipes. But after indulging in the sale of Mac Baren tobaccos, I bought several cans from the era when I was just starting to smoke a pipe and explore this world. The composition of the tobacco blend is: Black Cavendish, Burley, Virginia. Although I already know that Burleigh I don't really like in the mix. The smell from the can is pleasant and immediately reminded me of those times when I started to get acquainted with tobacco and pipes. In smoking, it seems to me not bright and of course rather weak for me (2 out of 5). My preferences for the last ten years are Perique and Dark Fired Kentucky, Virginia and the strength is not less than 3 out of 5. As noted, Danish Mixture is lighter, brighter, and a bit sweeter than Scottish Blend. Danish features notably less of the burley body, which shifts the blend to the Virginia end of the spectrum. There is a hint of spice in the retrohale. By comparison, Newminster No. 48 Danish Gold is at least as flavorful, doesn't run quite as hot, and is available with bulk pricing. A sweeter, more aromatic version of Mixture Scottish. Very smooth, cool and tasty. A bit milder than it's Scottish counterpart. Not the usual aro blend for me but tried a new baccy and found the nose a little fruity from the tin the tobacco has a nice texture and moisture level. Good flavor not overly sweet and not a heavy burley tongue chewing, will gurgle if rushed. Overall a good aro for a little different taste without straying too far from good baccy. Usually aros go too far with heavy casing, not the case ya can still get the full flavor of the tobacco. Will keep in rotation upper 10 in the mix....Read More
