mild and sweet texture with the creaminess of a nougat that has a dash of some kind of liqueur for a noticable tang on the end of a draw. Pretty f*****g mild and hardly any ghosting effect. Almost makes me want to be accommodating in my mannerisms of speech! I said almost f*****s. Heh ha! Read Less

Louis pipe and delivers a tasty smoke with good aroma and strength. Seems like a good choice for those times when you’re not sure about the next bowlfull. A little sweet, a little smoky. Easy to deal with. Could become an old friend pretty quickly. Tried in a MM General and a Jost billiard. Seems happy either way. Read Less

little about blending. I have to say that this blend is one of the best blends I have ever purchased pre mixed. Very well done mixture of sweet Virginia along with the heavy, thicker smoke producing of the Dark Cavendish. This blend even smells great right out of the jar. The taste is smooth but strangely bold. I had to have more so I bought a whole pound so that it would ferment in a larger jar. The Virginia grows sweeter with age, so the longer you can age this stuff the better it gets. Highly recommend this mixture for a late night relax on the porch. You will not be disappointed. a sweet tasting mixture comprised of brown sugar, anise, caramel, cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. Comes moist and drying it out will cause some of the flavor to be lost. Smoked cool and slow brings all of the flavors to light. Don’t age this… it’ll lose it’s wonderful flavors. It leaves a clean sweet finish in the mouth, but also bites. The PH isn't agreeable due to the toppings, and while drying eliminates much of the flavor, it really doesn't tame that bite much. Nicotine is negligible; 1 out of 5. Very pleasant. Read Less

Love the aroma unlit. Burns to a fine dry powder. Not harsh or hit burning. Not as much flavor as aroma. Might be able to tone down a sweet blend with it? Want to smoke a few more bowls before I pass judgement.

s) this one seemed to get heavy traffic (at least the jar was one of the cleanist) and I really fell in love with the smell and the look of the cut immediately. Still can't really put my finger on it.. Nutty, Bourbony.. hint of cherry cordial and caramel.. hmm. Very mild danish- I should warn that it has a sidestream smell that may have some odd notes from time to time, though maybe that's just me. It's still, for me, a cut above many of the other comparable bulkblends- a true jewel in the sutliff cap. Anywho, I'd forgotten all about it for years and years under other more prominant blends until I wandered into a pipe store that ended up being a place that had been opened by a former employee of that same former store!
