在大陆想抽个斗有多不容易，就不用我多说了吧。想写点中文评价。给国内朋友看看。 我抽了很多V草，绞盘，豪海，库多，暗切。喜欢福尔摩斯，所以买了一盒尝一尝。说实话这款草虽然不贵但是给我留下了很深的印象。过鼻时候的香味。有一种哈德门加苏烟的感觉。我个人不喜欢抽中华，我比较喜欢苏烟的味道。如果你也喜欢这样的烟草。这款福尔摩斯，一定要试一试。百人百口，我真的会屯很多。

This was the first tobacco I ever had the pleasure of smoking. I smoked this amazing blend for the first time when I lived in Ireland and to this day it is still my favorite tobacco!

Not a big fan of any pipe tobaccos other than manil really, but this one is very interesting and relaxing, not over done like a lot of other aromatics not sticky either. I will buy again!

ed, looks richer, deeper in tone. I open it and smell it … aroma very smooth - not citrusy at all. I light up a bowl and am astonished - as my brother would say, "shocked-stunned-appalled-and-amazed." It was truly delicious. Within a week I'd consumed almost all of it.
My recommendation would be to buy this and put it away for at least a year. Then enjoy. Read Less

s in the background, but it's not a key player. I can't quite put my finger on this topping, apricot maybe. It seems to fade a little halfway through the bowl and never sublimates that fine natural tobacco flavor. I smoked this blend slowly, so it never bit me and it turned out to be a very flavorful and enjoyable smoke. I suspect this will age well, so I'm going to put a few tins back. 我想像中福尔摩斯应该是标准的清淡的英式调配，而这款草是vb调配，福尔摩斯需要更多的专心来思考而不是抽了尼古丁含量比较高的vb调配而飘飘欲仙，所以我不明白为啥叫福尔摩斯，但是草的味道还算可以，价格也不贵，所以我愿意给4星，

Straight out of the tin, I didn't like it. Was bright at the top and pretty boring after. But I left it in a jar for just a month and wow. Wonderful flavors. Sweet with depth at the end.

thunder. There's a lot of pipe smoking in the Rathbone films , by both Rathbone and Bumbling Nigel Bruce as the archetypal Watson. "The House Of Fear" for example includes a multitude of pipe smoking and filling scenes , including a table of gentleman that are the main characters in that mystery , who smoke bowl after bowl of tobacco from various jars in a way that was completely normal in Victorian and pre-WW2 Britain. One forgets that up until the early 80s , nearly ever man over 30 would smoke a pipe. Fine pipe tobacco was everywhere because that was expected. Peterson's mixture here is very much a Victorian pipe tobacco, of a certain style. It's not a heavy , dark upper class blend that Holmes would have most certainly smoked, but it is very much of the more subtle style mixtures that were available at the time. Purists need not worry.
I find this a rather lovely smoke. The tin note is wonderful and most certainly has been cased with a fruit - I detect plum / prunes rather than apricot. This is very delicate and you only taste a little of it throught the very mild , gentle smoking experience. The Virginias are very high quality and the Mysore presence again alludes to the Victorian era where the British Empire was at it's nadir and trading into London's ports was immense from its colonies. The East India Company was responsible for the trade in wonderful goods from the Indian subcontinent and tobacco was a key import. This is a very aromatic smoke but not in a cased aromatic way. The flavours are beautifully intertwined and there is no bite at all. I didn't know what to expect from this blend, but for my taste, it's a fantastic daytime smoke. As I write this at my desk, I am calmly puffing away and picture an 1880s oak paneled dining room wearing a velvet smoking jacket. A subtle smoke from a bygone age. Sublime. Read Less

This is a lovely tobacco. Sweet with a slight note of fruit, and peppery on the nose. A great all-day smoker that burns down to the bottom of the bowl.

.7 on tobacco reviews. Little to be said, I wouldn't have tried this lest a buddy of mine gifted it to me, which is exactly what happened. This stuff exceeded my expectations completely. I smoked nearly the entire tin in 2 weeks, which is not common for me. I'm learning to form my own opinions on pipe tobacco and am unashamed to say, this is my favorite Virginia based mixture and would be happy to have this as a top 5 in my yearly rotation. Read Less

Taste is mild to medium and moderately consistent, with notes of citrus, sour vegetation, cocoa, tart dark fruit, bitter wood, vinegary fermented, molasses, spicy, nuts, dry, acidic, zesty orange peel, spices, toast, mildly savory, a sweet hay background note, and a peppery retro. Virginias are leading with Burley supporting. Minimal support from the Flavoring. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great. Read Less

挺平顺的一款V草，裁切齐整，颜色金黄。都温要控制好节奏掌握好，均匀燃烧后会很甜，我尝到的是蔗糖般的甜香。然后忍不住大口抽吸，甜感减弱，积水严重，扔掉半斗。我还是很难把这款草跟福尔摩斯大侦探联系起来，感觉起个女人的名字更贴切。

被福尔摩斯的名字吸引进来，价格也不贵就买了一盒。
中国内地想买福尔摩斯的恐怕都是真爱，因为那些代理并不会进货这些冷门烟草。
草比较湿，自己醒了醒以后的确有特殊的味道，有轻微的梅子味、果味等等，自己用白酒调了，味道不错！
味道的确不像balkan或者红法等等那些经典的烟斗丝风味，的确有些像纸烟的风味，但是不明显。
总之觉得回购！

To my opinion, this makes nearly a perfect tobbaco mix for when I'm out on walk or spending time at the outside market. Not too relaxing of a smoke and not to strong, a great balance for an all day tobacco.

ricot topping? Good question, and I’ve that perhaps does not require an answer. Still, I puff this only in my meerschaums. Back to Holmes: his all-day was a shag, not cut into ribbons like this, and it was dark, not light to medium brown. I imagine his go-to being most like Gawith Hoggarth’s heady shag blend, Kendal Dark. Regardless, this is bound to be an enjoyable smoke for most pipesters, namely those experienced ones disposed to aromatics but not of the SuperValue drugstore variety or those that beginners often start with, drenched in unknown sugary chemicals. When I’m in a fruit-forward blend mood, this is at the top of my list, along with Cornell & Diehl’s Founding Fathers and W.O. Larsen’s Signature. 4.5 stars. Read Less

The moisture content was perfect for immediate stoking. I can see why many find this blend appealing. It's a very mild & smooth smoke. I recently started smoking Tabac Manil's Le Petite Robin a few months back and noted a slight aroma & flavor comparison to Sherlock Holmes. Therefore, since I found Le Petite Robin to be extremely enjoyable but found Sherlock a bit lacking in strength, will only allow three & one half stars. Read Less

Effectively not an aromatic or a straight blend. Great tin aroma, great cut and quality leafs as always for Peterson's. Not a bad hybrid. but I can understand why its not everyone's cup of tea. Mild but enjoyable, and no bite for me. Worth a try.

t by the last third half of the bowl burleys take a more relevant role although momentarily, showing a distinctive nutty and also rounded flavour and then the sneak attack from the bite may come unadvertly and also the pipe may get easily rekindled if you want to get a bit more of the nutty effect from the burley.
I would say it is a regular smoke, Mild in nic, but above all it requires certain cadence and temperature to get the best from it, which by no means may be remarkable just average, it demands too much of a technique, tends to be easily hot and repeateadly becomes insipid when puffer slow down so.. med like a great all-day smoke. That was the Burley, which I enjoy very much for its smooth and mild characteristics. But then it turned harsh with a fair bit of burn. The taste changed dramatically, too, until it seemed reminiscent of a stale cigarette. All of this is proof that yes, indeed, there is no such thing as a tobacco that is agreeable to every palate. ng is there and it's going to stay for the whole bowl, and never really fade away at the end of the tin (at least not in a couple weeks).
That being said, the tobacco is well cut and beautiful, the flavors blended nicely and it never gave me tongue bite - btw it's that kind of tobacco that requires a relaxed approach. To me this is a very easy smoke for anyone, just not the kind of everyday mild I was looking for. I would call it a "why not?"

Nice aroma in the tin. Not too bad on the taste buds. Some tongue bite. I have gotten some tongue bite from all the Peterson blends I've tried which is too bad. I think they are better at making pipes than tobacco.
