pice elements and they're not at all intrusive; they're just simply there. I don't detect much from the Black Cavendish. This is an English blend only in the purist sense--it does contain some Latakia, but it's a restrained amount. I'm certain that this is a blend that will appeal to those Virginia lovers who enjoy the occasional bit of Latakia and/or Oriental spice to change things up just a little without departing far from a Virginia theme.
I would place the strength at about a 5 on a 10-point scale and the flavor is easily a 6. Overall, 3 Noggins displays good manners. This blend seems to be partial to pipes with straight or almost straight stems--it displays a strong preference for my old thin-walled BBB Apple Virgin....Read More

A nice full bodied pipe tobacco. Smooth smoke with no bite. Very nice room note. I've smoked this blend many times in the past and continue too this day!!! Never had a Rattray's tobacco I did not like. I highly recommend.
