About This Pipe
This is an old, old shape from Sven Knudsen, which we don't see too often. A lifting, lithe Egg with two spurs jutting from its bowl, it's finished with a rugged partial rustication along both spurs, base and transition, while the remainder of the stummel has been polished smooth and finished in a warm, dark tone. Condition is good, with only some rim darkening, and it's the sort of piece that we're sure not to see again for a while.
