About This Pipe
I can almost see an easy grin, and twinkle in Uncle Peter's eye when he started working with this block. "There's an "S" grade here!", and there certainly was. To say that the grain of this pipe is dense and regular would be a gross understatement. Peter's shaping of this Nautilus shows his characteristic generosity of bowl, and the smooth, slightly oval rim boasts a ripping cross cut grain on the front that morphs into birdseye at the back of the same.
