Caminetto Smooth Cavalier with 14K Gold (Tinder Box Golden Anniversary) Tobacco Pipe

Today, Guiseppe's grandson, Tommaso "Tommi" Ascorti, carries on the Caminetto legacy, handcrafting each pipe to perfection.

Crafted by Caminetto for The Tinder Box, this functional Cavalier boasts the form's characteristic features: a forward-canted, Egg-like bowl paired to a vertical shank-and-stem arrangement. The shank extends past the bowl's heel, terminating at an iridescent, champagne-hued acrylic foot, while a deeply bent, offset saddle stem of the same material tops off the composition, promoting a comfortable smoking posture. A warm, light, smooth finish dresses this piece, revealing a wealth of handsome grain, while the junctions of both the foot and the stem to the shank are encrusted with 14 karat gold. Stamped "Golden Anniversary," this pipe was made in celebration of The Tinder Box's 50th anniversary in 1978, which makes the gold accent work all the more meaningful.
