About This Pipe

Trying to obtain a pipe from Hiroyuki Tokutomi is hard enough with the new product, and nigh near impossible in the estate. When we do get one for sale, they tend to be ungraded (one notable Hiro grade cavalier that we had about a year ago aside). Here we have a staggering "two snail" grade blowfish. The composition is bold, muscular, but the carving is still very much within the category of a "fighting fugu". The edges are clean, and quite knife like, while the side panels display a balancing softness. The cross cut grain and birdseye of this pipe are astonishing, even allowing for the fact the pipe is a two snail grade.
