About This Pipe
Named after an Italian nobleman, Ser Jacopo was founded by famous craftsman Giancarlo Guidi after he left the Maestro de Paja workshop. The Ser Jacopo workshop is known for creating the Pesaro shaping aesthetic and crafting classically rendered Italian pipes with unique, flourished finishes. The workshop's Maxima stamp signifies some of the largest pipes they offer, each one a stunning example of Italian craftsmanship, and this particular bent Billiard has received that stamp twice.
This piece has earned the workshop's Unigena appellation, which signifies exceptional combinations of grain orientation and overall shaping, as represented by this bent Billiard. The bowl is tall and slender, positioned at the front of an upturned shank that has an extra touch of robustness to complement the bowl. A well-bent saddle stem completes the design, enhancing the sleek S-curve profile of the piece. Ser Jacopo's iconic Rowlette rustication that dresses the stummel features carvings throughout the bowl that mimic the look of dripping wax, while the rim and shank were left smooth for eye-catching contrast.
