About This Pipe
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Ball from Ser Jacopo possesses four "Maxima" stamps, landing it among some of the workshop's largest offerings. The robust, palm-filling bowl dominates the piece, and it is dressed in a honey-blonde smooth finish that shows off a hearty array of grain. Out back, a broad, cheeked transition flows into a thick shank and acrylic stem, which rise upwards before flattening out parallel to the rim, creating a relaxed smoking posture for this hearty pipe.
