Born of a collaboration between Canadian pipe maker Michael Parks and the former owner of Ferndown, Les Wood, this bent Billiard from Commonweal is a traditional take on the classic shape with balanced proportions. It's a great pipe for lovers of the simple elegance of Anglo-French shaping conventions. Lifting airily from a mid-set, muscular transition, the shank terminates at around the same height as the rim before joining to a smartly bent saddle stem. A subtle sandblast renders a river of cross grain visible where it runs length-wise around the stummel. The stummel's dark stain pairs neatly with the black stem.
