About This Pipe

Jack Weinberger was a major influence in the development of the American Freehand style, in particular having direct influence on carvers Mark Tinsky and Curt Rollar. This Cutty interpretation shows off the artisan's creativity, with a stylized spur protruding from the trim, Acorn-like bowl. Said bowl's forward cant lends the composition a dynamic profile, and gracefully followed the trajectory established by the sweeping shank-and-stem arrangement. Dressed in a rich, smooth finish, the stummel showcases a wealth of hearty grain.
