About This Pipe
Michael Butera is considered by many to be one of the best carvers in America, and the founding father of American pipe making. This bent Stack from Butera possesses a bowl of intimidating height, being three inches tall. The chamber won't disappoint, its cavernous depth clocking in at almost two-and-a-half inches, making it ideal for those craving a long smoke. At the top of this epic chamber, a flat rim tops a cylindrical bowl. Stacks of cross grain — highlighted in a pale tan — flow down the bowl in concentric circles, subtle flame grain guiding the eye into the flat heel. The shank grows out of an angled transition, tapering as it flows into the gold-adorned junction. With its upright bowl, tight-knit transition, and deeply bent stem, this bent Stack strikes a cozy in-hand posture.
