Jared Coles Sandblasted Natural Strawberry Wood Billiard (2025) Tobacco Pipe

Jared Coles, one of the original founders of J&J Pipes, discovered his passion for artisan pipes while in college and has been captivated ever since. His carving style uniquely fuses the fluid, gestural qualities of Danish designs with the robust, compact musculature characteristic of American pipe making. This particular Billiard is an excellent example of that muscular aesthetic. The entire stummel is carved from strawberry wood, a material with which Coles is well familiar. The bowl rises more than two inches in height, creating a tall, tubular form that houses a deep chamber. That same tubular motif carries into the shank, reinforcing the pipe's compact, muscular character. The stummel is finished with a crisp sandblast and left unstained, allowing the strawberry wood's distinctive ring grain to emerge in striking relief.
