About This Pipe
Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, he realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This bent Billiard by Ashton is a classic rendition of the English shape-chart standard. The trim, tapered bowl is paired with a well-bent shank-and-stem arrangement, creating a smoking posture perfectly suited for comfortable jaw-hanging. The stummel is dressed in one of Ashton's iconic finishes, the yellow ochre hues of the Old Church sandblast, which showcases craggy ripples of growth rings and swirling specks of birdseye.
