About This Pipe
Since their founding in 1947, Castello has handcrafted high-quality pipes, helping elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Castello's personal approach to shaping has also helped cultivate the bowl-centric, whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This Billiard is one of their archetypal offerings, featuring a bold, full-bodied bowl that dominates a comparatively trim shank-and-stem arrangement. A subtle taper through the shank and stem slenderizes the aft of the composition, further drawing attention to the bowl, which sits atop a wide, slightly pronounced heel and boasts thick walls surrounding a generous chamber. Though less than five inches long, this piece offers ample musculature and plenty of space to showcase the Old Antiquari sandblast.
