About This Pipe
From the mind of Italian artisan Carlo Scotti, Castello was founded in 1947 with the goal of offering handmade pipes that exude quality in both form and function. Working together with Luigi Radice and Peppino Ascorti, the three would serve as key innovators in defining Italian neoclassical pipe design. Part of the marque's Great Line series, this Dublin from Castello possesses an especially strapping physique. Its towering bowl stands firm, formed by thick walls flaring from a rounded heel as they reach high toward a plateau-crowned rim. A muscular shank extends out of the transition from the bowl and tapers as it meets a jet-black acrylic stem, both featuring a flattened underside for added sleekness in profile. The stummel wears a warm, mahogany stain courtesy of the Collection finish, highlighting striking vertical grain all throughout.
