About This Pipe

Italian artisan Davide Iafisco combines his previous experience working as a furniture designer with a variety of stylistic influences rooted in his training under the likes of Teddy Knudsen, Claudio Cavicchi, Jeff Gracik, and Adam Davidson. This variety of experience makes for truly unique and evocative pieces such as this bent Apple. It's a tight-knit, Nosewarmer-length composition, and it shows Iafisco's American influences with its muscular proportions. The bowl is chubby and palm-filling, boasting a moderately capacious chamber that makes this a great pipe for any blend or occasion life throws your way. Not only does the chamber fall in that coveted sweet spot of capacity, but the rim is smooth and beveled for ease of tobacco loading. The shank, brief and strong of build, flares into a black-and-white ebony accent at the junction, and the stem echoes the shape of the shank face with a slim expansion ring near the base. A ruby-tinted sandblast shows off dense stacks of growth rings and strands of flame grain waving around the bowl. For those who like a cozy in-hand fit, a luscious curve underscores the stummel, making this a suitable companion for the on-the-go smoker who likes to hold his pipe close for warmth.
