About This Pipe
Since their founding in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes has helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes has helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This 'KKK' grade Canadian from Castello pairs a tall, plateau-crowned bowl to a lengthy oval shank and an abbreviated tapered stem. In typical Italian neoclassical style, the bowl possesses most of the composition's visual weight, with the sleek lines of the shank-and-stem arrangement and the low-set transition accentuating the bowl's presence in profile. The full-bodied bowl boasts a broad, firm heel and a generous chamber capacity, while the shank tapers gradually across its length out back. The stummel wears a dark stain and smooth finish that showcases some sweeping flame grain across the bowl's surface. The bright white color of the acrylic mouthpiece offers a dose of contrasting vibrancy to the overall composition for further visual appeal.
