Claudio Cavicchi presents a hearty, lengthy Dublin with this rendition, the bowl flaring toward the rim, with a firm, Italian-styled heel asserting prominence as well. The long, round shank and abbreviated saddle stem resemble that of a Lovat and exude that classic shape's sleek refinement, while ensuring the pipe's visual weight remains on the robust bowl. Finished in a dark sandblast with ruby undertones, a plethora of ring grain cascades down the circumference of the bowl, while tendrils of growth rings continue through the flanks of the shank. Both the underside and the top, though mostly the rim, of this piece showcase some wonderful birdseye with ample blasted texture.
