His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops. Having received a three-C grade, this Acorn is certainly a fetching piece from Cavicchi. It pairs a pert, plump and high-waisted bowl to a long, cylindrical shank with plenty of room to comfortably drape a digit. The bowl boasts a generous chamber, and the graceful downturn of the saddle stem aids in a comfortable smoke. A smooth, honey-blonde finish dresses the stummel, accentuating tight licks of flame grain and eddying pools of birdseye in equal measure.
