About This Pipe

This is quite a playful shape, which seems fitting since it also looks like Jared was being playful with finishing techniques as well. Specifically, I'm referring to the sandblast. Despite this being very much not an old English sort of shape, when it came to blasting the briar Jared gave the bowl a more ripply, slightly-smoothed-down cragginess — which is very different from the usual crisp blasts of modern American artisans, but quite a bit like certain older British pipes.
