About This Pipe
Citing "every pipe ever made" as his creative inspiration, Bill Shalosky is able to skillfully render a wide range of silhouettes. His portfolio ranges from shape-chart classics to unique Freehands and, reminiscent of Dunhill's non-standard design of the same name, this Windshield Billiard falls somewhere in the middle of that spectrum.
The Windshield Billiard was designed to allow automobile owners from days of old to enjoy a nice smoke while driving without having to worry about the wind extinguishing their pipes. To prevent this, the fore of the bowl was made to tower high above the rest of the composition, shielding the tobacco from high-speed winds. Today, with the advent of modern, roofed cars, the Windshield Billiard isn't as much of a necessity for multi-tasking smokers on the road, although if you're inclined to smoke while in a convertible or taking in the great outdoors during particularly blustery weather, this could be the pipe for you. Practicality aside, it's certainly a striking piece with its rich ruby sandblast and gorgeous stem replete with black, navy blue, and azure ripples.
