About This Pipe

Rooted in the centuries-old pipe-making tradition of Saint-Claude, La Bruyere reflects the craftsmanship and understated style of artisan Thomas Manzoni. For the past 15 years, Manzoni has worked at Chapuis-Comoy, specializing in pipe assembly for everything from classic shapes to spigots and army mounts, while also developing his own skills as a pipe maker. Trained by Pierre Morel and Bruno Nuttens, his work embraces a contemporary-classic aesthetic, pairing pure, traditional shapes with carefully selected briar, morta, olive wood, and other fine materials, all with an emphasis on creating pipes that smoke as beautifully as they look.

This Dublin is among the first batch of pipes we received from La Bruyere, making it a worthy introduction to the brand. Tall and conical, the bowl immediately captures the eye with its handsome finish, showcasing striking growth rings along the flanks. A long, round shank extends from the bowl before meeting a tapered stem of pale acrylic, accented by smoky streaks throughout for an extra pop of visual flair.
