Mastro Geppetto, a sub-brand of Ser Jacopo, produces handmade pipes with the same playful, inventive shaping as their parent brand, but at a more approachable price point. This bent Apple is one of the latest offerings from the Italian workshop, and it showcases their penchant for crafting bold, eye-catching pieces.

It's less bowl-centric than some of their previous offerings, with a thick transition and robust — yet compact — shank and stem to balance out the squat, plump-heeled bowl. Said bowl still conforms to the palm nicely, despite its reserved proportions, and the stem's swift bend offers a comfortable clench. Dressed in a smooth, chestnut finish, the stummel showcases a wealth of hearty grain. The swirling pattern of the translucent acrylic stem complements said grain, and its rich amber tones pair beautifully with the stummel's warm stain.
