Liscia Rhodesian (3) Tobacco Pipe

Mastro Geppetto, a sub-brand of Ser Jacopo, produces handmade pipes with the same playful, inventive shaping as their parent brand, but at a more approachable price point. This Rhodesian is a slightly more reserved offering from the Italian marque, yet it offers a nuanced take on the classic shape.

The bowl is quite plump, with plenty of substance to it in true neoclassic Italian fashion. Extra cheeking along the transition emphasizes the bowl's plumpness while also accentuating the low-set shank whose underside dips below the heel of the bowl. From there, said shank rises steadily to join a long, gracefully arcing stem. The stummel wears a smooth, glossy, honey-blonde finish, which accentuates a wealth of lovely grain and lends the overall piece a bright, mellow disposition.
