About This Pipe

The "69" is one of Peterson's most traditional English designs, representing the style of bent Billiard common to classic English and French marques. The prominent transition and heavy-set shank that define Peterson's aesthetic are forgone, replaced by a more slender, angular profile. It's one of the most classic designs in the Irish marque's lineup, featuring clean, smooth lines and balanced proportions — perfect for those drawn to Peterson's history and reputation of craftsmanship but desire a leaner style of bent Billiard.

Peterson has offered a line of filtered pipes since 1947, evolving over the decades in name and finish: Since 1997 the Dublin Filter comprised the Irish marque's only filtered series, with the Army Filter introduced in 2021, and all pipes within these lines are drilled to hold a 9mm filter, (Peterson's proprietary charcoal filters being offered in packs of 150- and 40-count boxes). Often, when a marque features filtered versions of their standard shapes, certain designs must be slightly altered to accommodate wider drilling; however, Peterson's signature aesthetic hews toward more robust shanks and transitions, making for a seamless cross-over between filtered and non-filtered renditions of the same shape. Presented in a rugged, dark-stained rustication, with lighter hues flecking the texture's peaks to match twin nickel accent rings, the Dublin Filter line here displays a handsome aesthetic that remains both striking and traditionally reserved.
