Peterson's history dates to the late 1800s, and the marque is most famous for its patented System engineering and muscular shaping style. Introduced in 2023, the Junior line forgoes that characteristically robust aesthetic, though, to offer sleek renditions of shape-chart standards for pipe smokers inclined toward more lightweight designs. Each shape is unified by a trim shank and stem — all finished in Peterson's recognizably craggy rustication and accented by a bright band of nickel. An homage to vintage pipes from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Junior series offers reliable, everyday pipes of convenient portability, as exemplified by this archetypal bent Bulldog.
