About This Pipe
In the 1960s and '70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This bent Apple features a striking extension of shimmering black-and-gray acrylic that flares outward before transitioning into a softly bent stem. Together, the extension and stem create the appearance of a push-style stem while retaining the traditional functionality of a mortise-and-tenon configuration. The stummel dressed in Radice's Silk Cut sandblast and left unstained, allowing the natural briar grain to take center stage. Cross grain runs along the underside of the stummel, while birdseye decorates the rim.
