About This Pipe
One of the most recognizable marques in Italy today, the Radice workshop was founded in 1980 when Luigi Radice decided to embark on a new pipe-making journey alongside his two sons, Gianluca and Marzio. Previously, Luigi made pipes for Castello, and before that, Caminetto. Under his new namesake brand, he offered high-quality pipes carved in the unmistakable Italian neoclassical style. He experimented with innovative new designs, new rusticating and carving styles, and oil curing. This Silk Cut Brandy showcases several of the aforementioned techniques, which are still used by the marque to this day.
The muscular bowl of this Brandy takes on a subtle taper toward the rim as it perches proudly at the fore of a short, straight shank joined by a sleekly tapered stem of acrylic. The stummel wears a striking iteration of Radice's Silk Cut sandblast, featuring dark, smoky tendrils against a vibrant auburn backdrop. Thanks to this bold finish, and Radice's equally bold, Italian neoclassical style, this Brandy is sure to make an outstanding addition to any pipe collection.
