About This Pipe

One of the most recognizable marques in Italy today, the Radice workshop was founded in 1980 when Luigi Radice decided to embark on a new pipe-making journey alongside his two sons, Gianluca and Marzio. Previously, Luigi made pipes for Castello, and before that, Caminetto. Under his new namesake brand, he offered high-quality pipes carved in the unmistakable Italian neoclassical style. He experimented with innovative new designs, new rusticating and carving styles, and oil curing. This bent Apple showcases several of the aforementioned techniques, which the marque still uses to this day.

In classic Radice fashion, the bowl of this bent Billiard immediately catches the eye with its tall, tubular shaping and muscular heel. Said bowl is paired to a high-kicking shank adorned with a shimmering acrylic mount, which is joined by a handsomely bent stem fashioned from opaque acrylic and sporting a standard tenon despite its push-style appearance. The shimmering hues of the mount and jet-black coloring of the stem handsomely complement the stummel's finish: a smoky, high-contrast iteration of Radice's Silk Cut sandblast.
