About This Pipe
Based in Pesaro, Italy, the Rinaldo workshop was founded in 1987 when two brothers, Elio and Guido Rinaldo, left their positions at a large pipe-making company to start their own endeavor. Since establishing their workshop, they've never looked back, working alongside each other in harmony to produce around 1,500 pipes annually. This bent Apple is part of the workshop's Megas line, which is marked by larger-than-life shaping that's bold and dramatic — even by Italian pipe-making standards.
A remarkably robust bowl sits at the fore of the composition, boasting plenty of chamber within and filling the palm with its ample curves. Behind the bowl, a high-kicking shank terminates in a smooth, ruby-stained accent band and is joined by a deeply bent saddle stem. The stummel is replete with craggy, stimulating texture thanks to its deep chestnut sandblast — Rinaldo's signature Lithos finish. With its craggy finish, stylized stem, and dramatic proportions, this offering is sure to be a hit among those with an affinity for Italian pipes.
