Savinelli Autographs are made from the finest briar available carved by the most experienced artisans in the famous workshop, and this Cherrywood is a happy result of that impressive combination. The grain on this piece is remarkable; its sandblasted growth rings undulate in circles, climbing the bowl. The bowl rises proudly from the flat heel, contracting at the waist and then tapering up to a taut rim. The shank is very sturdy in disposition, angling from the tight transition and meeting a pale, tapering half-saddle stem with a soft downturn. The juxtaposing dark-and-light palette coordinates especially well with this shape and its rugged character.
