About This Pipe
Since its founding in 1982, Ser Jacopo has become one of the most recognizable and iconic pipe brands in all of Italy. Under the watchful stewardship of founder Giancarlo Guidi, the workshop developed a style that has since come to define the Pesaro shaping aesthetic. Each Ser Jacopo pipe is imbued with a whimsical sense of character that reflects the brand's creativity and playful spirit, with this Freehand being one such example of said spirit. This Freehand features a stout, Pot-like bowl with a full-bodied presence, positioned at the fore of an upturned shank and a gently curved tapered stem. Thick, insulating walls define the bowl, rising to a pronounced, undulating rim that peers into a modest tobacco chamber. The shank-and-stem arrangement promotes a comfortable smoking posture, its junction highlighted by a bright silver band. The Spongia rustication envelops the piece, imbuing the surface with rich tactile character, while the rim is left smooth to provide contrast.
